Merry Christmas Eve, everyone! So although we’ve been busy and only nail blogging intermittently, I took some time last night while watching ‘Scrooged’ to do my first nail tape mani (I know, I know. I’m behind the times) ;) I received the green and red Zoya polishes for Christmas from my cousin, and I just love them!!! Also note my homemade wine cork ornament in the large photo;) —Melissa
Polishes used: Pure Ice Super Star!, Zoya mini Kissy and Zoya mini Rina
Here’s another fun stamping mani! I’m loving stamping now that I have the hang of it. I still love the clean look of a tape mani, but this is a great way to get some cool designs in a lot less time. - Caly
Polishes: Revlon Midnight Affair, Kleancolor Metallic Yellow
Hey all! Melissa and I have the unfortunate task of being adults which means lately we’ve had to deal with work and school instead of doing cool nail art :/. Trust me though our nail polish love/obsession remains strong! About a month ago I got some new stamping equipment. I had the as seen on TV stamping set, but I could never get it to work right. Well I invested in some better stuff and now I love it! Intricate beautiful nails and not much hassle. This mani didn’t photograph too well but I love the purple sparkly paisleys. Stay tuned I have another fun stamping mani coming up soon! - Caly
Kleancolor Metallic Purple
Hi everyone! Here’s some nails I did a couple weeks ago that were inspired by a pretty blue and gold bracelet I received for my birthday from our friend, Kiffen:) I also got a new nail kit for my bday, which is where the little gem comes from. It’s also a stamping kit so hopefully I can improve my skills in the coming months. Enjoy!
Holy moly nail friends, it’s been ages since we’ve shown you some new nails! The summer has been crazy for both of us and my nails are not playing nice with work so they’ve been breaking a lot :(. Yesterday though, I finally sat down and did something fun! I love this neon green but I wanted to do more with it so using a fanned brush I brushed on the pink. I love the way it turned out! I think Melissa’s saved up a few manis too so stay tuned:)- Caly
Polishes: China Glaze In the Lime Light and Zoya Lolly
Hi Friends! Today we have a guest blog from my friend, Erin. I went to visit her and her husband last weekend and she was rockin’ these super summery nails. She says they were inspired by 80’s glam and our blog:) Thanks for letting us share your awesome nails, Erin!!! —M
Hi Everyone! Today I have a glitter gradient mani for you inspired by my new iPhone case. A present from my co-blogger, Caly, this case is from Julep and pretty much has my life motto on it: ‘Keep Calm and Paint Your Nails’ :)
Polishes used: Revlon Minted, Julep Mackenzie, OPI Don’t Mess with OPI, and Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Extreme Wear in Strobe Light.
No crazy nail art today but some pretty sweet nails nonetheless. I picked up this Wet n Wild Fergie “Tonight’s gonna be a good night.” The bright colors plus fun glitter make for a great summer mani!! - Caly
Polishes used: Sinful Colors Pink Cream, Zoya Rocky, Wet n’ Wild Fergie Tonight’s Gonna be a Good Night
Hi Everyone!! Caly and I have some simple tulip accent nail manicures for y’all today. I’m holding my new favorite polish, Nan, from Julep and Caly is wearing my other new favorite, Jinx, an OPI Liquid Sands polish. I’d like to do a tulip tip on all of my nails, but just couldn’t do it after a bottle of wine lol. Enjoy!
Polishes used: Julep Nan, China Glaze First Mate, OPI Liquid Sands Jinx, Julep Sea Salt Madeline
Good morning everyone! Another rainy day here in Syracuse, but I have some cheerful nails to share with you. I recently picked up two new Zoya’s from their stunning collection (I must have them all!!!) and I am in love with them. They are the perfect bright summery creams that I’ve been lacking. After a few recent disastrous manis, I decided to do a nice simple tape design. Cheers! -Caly
Polishes Used: Zoya Rocky, Zoya Thandie, Sephora by OPI The Romantic
Happy Memorial Day!! It looks like Melissa and I think the same way when we think about patriotic nails - red, white, blue, and a bunch of glitter. My nails are a quite a mess, this is what happens when you try a difficult mani with a short amount of time, but Melissa’s looks great!! Have a safe and happy day!
Hi Everyone!!! It’s been a while. I had an unfortunate incident with a PedEgg and my thumb, and Caly had some nubby nails, but now we’re back with some nail art inspired by our favorite new wine cups (and some Muscat from the Adirondack Winery I brought back from Lake George). Enjoy!
I have some great nails to share with you, guaranteed to brighten any day!! I finally did a decent gradient and then finished it up some zebra stripes! I love them, they feel like Lisa Frank nails :)! I included the last photo so you guys can see what it takes to get some of these designs. It’s not always pretty and sometimes requires a lot of cleanup, but in the case of today’s nails… definitely worth it!- Caly
Polished Used: Sinful Colors Cream Pink, Kleancolor Neon Purple, Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Brisk Blue, and Sinful Colors Black on Black.
Hello! Today I have some pastels and glitter for you. It’s warm and sunny out, and I finally feel like its time for my favorite teal. And I love OPI’s glitter ‘Pink yet Lavender’ that’s on my accent nails:)
Polishes used: OPI Pink yet Lavender, Revlon Minted, and Julep Minnie
Happy May 1st, everyone!!! Today I have a new gradient: light to dark purple with uber glitter:)
I am IN LOVE with my glitter topcoat, Julep’s Yumi (in the second picture). It is by far one of the best glitters I’ve ever had. It sparkles with little rainbow colors, but the pieces are fine enough to let whatever is underneath shine through. -M
Polishes used: Essie to buy or not to buy, Rimmel Wild Orchid, Julep Gayle, and Julep Yumi
